So in line with rule 6 of bangeromics, they say you should always buy two of the same car - one for parts, one to use.
So I was pretty happy to pick up a same colour and same spec (I thought) '99 2 litre petrol (my road car is a 98) -
Now I had my eyes on the leather interior and the rust free doors but it was only when I parked them next to each other that I saw that the new car is about 20/30mm lower at the front... a test drive confirmed - it handles a lot flatter, yet damps well and doesn't pogo stick (I was thinking someone may have chopped the springs but it doesn't feel like that).
The car in question is a '99 100 Centenerary 2 litre petrol auto, with black leather but no rear sunblind or fancy dash stuff.
Photos don't show it very well (the one behind is the new car I'm talking about) -

I didn't there was any suspension changes in the '98-'99 pre-facelifts 2 litres - so is this a case of someone who's fitted MV6 suspension?
Or I've also heard of Sport II suspension or a factory sport - was any of this available as options?
What do ye think?

These are Irish aren't they?
Is one from Wexford?
-
Thats right - the Wexford (WX plate) is the one in question.
The front one is a WH plate - Westmeath

Yeah, I see the logic there. ;D. ;)

I have visited a customer of ours in Wexford last went for Euro conversion.

Hello Mr Kingers from Octane .ie .... :y
I think it may be the original ( WH ) that's higher than standard rather than the doner ( WX ) that's lower if you follow the logic........
If you PM me the wheel centre to arch lip dimension I'll compare it with my front suspension .
-
Wrong springs probably. Take a wheel off and see if there's any ID printed on them.

Cheers lads, it'll be a few weeks before I get around to looking a bit closer at it but i will come back here to report my findings.
