My CLS went from £731 to £1280, ouch :o, just found a intersting family fleet insurance policy though, that will cover all six cars for £1700 with two drivers. Will report back.

Think we pay about £700 for both cars fully comp, protected NCB, both driving both cars and full business use.

Mind you... It'll go up next year :-X :-X :-X ::) ::) ::)

[edit]Oh... And that's with zero voluntary excess so £60 on SWMBO's Panda and £100 on the Omega :y :y[/edit]

LV came out cheapest like for like on the policy for me aswell.
Currently with Morethan and they have racked up my premium to £376. So unless they can better £324 then it's goodbye.
Incidently I tried one of those companies that specialise insuring over  50's (I'm 57 next month)
They are taking the piss they quoted £776.
I've got bags of NCB, no convictions, no penalties clean as a whistle.......work that one out.

BTW it's on a Vx Signum, not the Omega.

Blimey. And I almost had a heart attack when mine came in at £500.

I went to Busby's of Wycombe. Go Compare were OK but Busby's beat them. Got the number somewhere, hold it a sec ...

If you use a trailer or caravan, check that you are covered..  I found a couple who wouldn't insure the car if it was going to pull a trailer...

Seems a lot to me, an old Omega and a Panda :o :o :-/ ::) business use, in my experience does not increase the premium, unless you add it on because you forgot.... ::) ::) ::)

£186 fully comp for me as SWMBO is over 40 but never drives it!
I'm 40 next year  :-[ but got 22 years no claims and no points  :)
Without swmbo it was more than double the quote,how does that work as she will never drive it?  :-?

Insurance companys like opposite sex partners on the policy, thus it tends to bring down the premium :y

I'm a bit younger than you though Vamps :-X ::) ;D

And it was considerably cheaper than anywhere else and includes the admin fee for changing the vehicle and temporary cover on the one that's up for sale ;)
