Really don't know what to do, as some of you will know i have an Estate Special as used by the TVP.
I love this car and its a joy to drive but times are hard and I'm struggling to keep my head above water.... The tax is due at the end of this month also. :-[
I have a little Pug 106 1.5D which i currently use to goto work and shopping etc...
I'm in a quandary as to what to do! :( :( :(
Are Omegas like i have making any decent money? It has MOT and i can put 6mnths tax on her - also has the rare 'proper' Recaro interior as found in the LHD Omega Caravans from Europe.
Any advice you can offer....?

DON'T SELL HER!!!
Times are hard for all of us at the moment, but it can't go on forever. None of us know what is round the next corner :)
If it's possible, just keep her wrapped up & SORN her til it's more practical.
IMHO :y
-
Keep it as BV said as there is no money in the big V6's with fuel the way it is. If you like the drive keep it and sorn it for later. I have to use a 1.3cdti for work but love my mig to much to sell it :y
-
:'(As much as you may not want to sell it, let it go i was in a similar position several years back had to sell a lovely Nissan patrol lwb , things do turn around eventually for the time being let common sense prevail .

I do agree that's the thing, my head & heart are having heated discussions about the situation!

:yI know exactly how you feel i am talking several years ago now ,1990 to be exact, i was lucky to keep the house (which is now paid for) i am a lot wiser now & believe me you can always find another good car i did!
-
Sadly our cars are relatively worthless with fuelcosts, but then if it cripples you to run it, you probably have to do something :(
-
I'll prob stick it on eBay with a high reserve and see how it goes...
-
I see you made your mind up and put it on then :'( :-/ :-/ :( I can see were you are coming from times are hard at the moment. Good luck with the sale :y

At the end of the Day mate "You cut the garment to suit the cloth"
Needs must I'm afraid, if you need to sell it then thats what you need to do in my opinion. You can always get another one when your flush :y
-
bad news is , fuel prices wont drop from now on..
day by day it will get worse.. as the last 5 years prooved.. :-/
-
LPG ?. I would have sold mine a while ago, and prob been driving some little diesel rattle box, but LPG nearly half's fuel cost. So I can cruise the M62 in comfort at a reasonable cost.
Its a lot of work, but worth it if you plan to keep her for a while.

Yes she's on eBay, purely just to test the water and see if i get any sensible offers.
On another note, hows the ad? Enough information? Too much? I think i still have things to add! ;D
Typical really tho... I've not long put my private plate on her :(

Only kidding mate, good luck with the sale, from a auto rubbish owning Oofer ;D ;D ;D :y

Tough choice, you've obviously put a lot of work in, and no doubt will be difficult to replace with the same again - but if it has to be done then best to get on with it.
The ad looks good, hope you get some serious interest.
-

Don't bother with eBay (or here most of the time!)
Mine will go on Autotrader in the next few days, once I'm happy everything is sorted And it's surplus to requirements :y
