Title: Incident With My Mig
Post by: t-star on 15 May 2011, 15:05:57
My mig's windscreen had a meeting with a local scroats boot on Friday 13th. This is the end result...

And finally a dent left in the roof where he walked across the top of 3 cars

Total result of this little rampage...

1 Corsa: Dented bonnet and smashed widscreem
1 Omega: Dented roof and smashed windscreen
1 Voyager: Smashed windscreen
1 Fiesta: Smashed sunroof and badly creased roof panels (Now written off)

Not bad for about 5 minutes work. As luck would have it i had a chip in my screen and was going to have it replaced anyway. He is in court on Monday charged with 4 counts of criminal damge. He is already on probation and wearing a tag. I hope they throw the book at him...... I wish.....

How lovely.  :-/

Glad he's been caught.

Hope your roof dent can be easily fixed, windscreen replacement is minimal when fully comp.

Widscreen is costing me £60 to have replaced. I was gonna give it a wash and polish on saturday as well. That didnt happen.

Why did they do it?

Go to court and ask for compensation.

There is a victim find specifically for this

wouldn't you have loved to have been around to 'assist' him down from the roof of your car .......

with a length of 3" x 2"

At least he was caught, although I bet he'll be given some pathetic fine (that he'll never pay) or a few hours community service (that he'll never turn up for)

We dont know why he did it. But the whole family had been arguing all day and he just lost control. The only problem that i can forsee with court is that he is a minor. All of the owner had to fill in a statement to say how much it will cost to repair the damage and that will be presented to the court. Unfortunatly the whole family are on benefits so you cant get something from nothing. I think i'll just have to take it on the chin and move on. I've got more important things in my life to worry about than a POS like that, like cleaning the mouldy bits out of my wheely bin....

We had a similar cse around here with a student.

Sensible punishment

Drunk jumped on roof of car as Incredible Hulk

No fine
No criminal record
Down the total cost of the repair (or may have been a replacement car)

VERY apologetic

so thats his therapy for his disfunctional famiy argument.

if I was like I used to be I would say he needs a knee capping with a hammer drill at slow speed.  However, a less painfull but still unpleasant means of corrective treatment is to stick him in a sealed environment with several gas pellets for company.

Hmm you can always drive over the f... idiot and say that it wasn't you, the car acted on his own seeking revenge  ;D
Just kidding, but things like these really piss me off.
No fine or anything can teach people like these to behave properly. I don't know what I would do if I saw someone doing this to my car. Probably that person would end up in a hospital for severe hand and legs fractures
