Title: Spoilers
Post by: car-nut on 19 May 2011, 02:18:24
Right, My Omega doesn't have a spoiler, and that really bugs me!

I am not keen on the lip spoilers for the boots and want something a bit bigger, I have seen a few on Ebay but wondered if anyone knows where I can get a good boot spoiler cheap? Is there any specific breakers or good places to go?

Personally I`d go for a lip spoiler, but is this what you`re looking for
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OMEGA-C-BOOT-SPOILER-NK-Tuning-/150345741682?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item23014df572

That is the one, but hoping for cheaper or if anyone knows of spoilers from other cars that may suit my car? And fit it?

And I have decided against the lip spoiler purely on the basis that most ppl have them. I like to be a bit differed  :D lol

Try and get your hands on a F/L Irmscher lip spoiler, not many come up for sale.
This is different :-X :-X :-X

Each to their own and all that but in my opinion a spoiler that size really does'nt suit an Omega or any other saloon for that matter.

Your trying to make the car look like like something that it is'nt.

I'm on the lookout for a lip spoiler myself.
Does'nt matter what the colour is as i'm planning to have some of the mig re-sprayed in the near future so will just get the body shop to spray and fit the spolier for me while their at it.

I'll get them to quote me for the panels first and then i'll say that if they throw in the spolier work for me as well then they have a deal ;)

I have a prodrive facelift elite spolier, but its still attached to the bootlid, and Im reluctant to try to take it off.
If I did take it off I then have to decide whether to spray it and fit it to my car, or sell it . :-/

Aye, I think ironing boards bolted to the boot look awful and chavvy. And a bit 1980s. A bit XR3. Much prefer the more subtle, cleaner, lip.

Each to their own though.

Long stiff bladed wide (50mm) scraper & a hammer will get it off. Spoiler on it`s own is worth pretty much the same as the bootlid with spoiler attached. Easier to sell as well. Nobody was interested in the lid I had complete with spoiler & lights. Whipped the spoiler off, sold within days

Spoiler on Martin's car looks good in the flesh.

Problem is that photos don't do bodykits etc justice IMHO, every picture I see of a facelift Irmscher Omega doesn't really look that good to me but when I see one for real it looks so much better. I guess it's the 3D perspective that helps!

Each to their own, but I think (photo or in flesh) it makes it a bit 1980s, and also makes out his other car is a chavved out 1.0l Corsa...
