Title: Breather problems? Solved.
Post by: Kevin Wood on 30 May 2011, 00:33:03
Can't be bothered to clean out the breather box round the back of your V6?

Convinced you can do better than GM's own development team?

Why not try this exclusive new mod found fitted to a certain forum member's newly-acquired Omega? ;)

Car had a full GM service history so presumably we have a main dealer to thank for this wonderful bodge innovation.

Added benefit: Lubricates the throttle body while you drive. :-X

Argh, dropbox won't deliver pics fast enough before the forum times it out.  And I really wanted to see how they had modified the breathers  :'(

Looks like an attempt to minimise mayo build up in the oil filler neck.

It might not have been such a good idea to use the tap for the fuel pressure reg though!

I saw the Y junction on the breather pipe a couple of weeks ago, didnt realise the other end was attached to the filler neck though. :o ;D ;D

The oil in the pre throttle intake/bagpipes and plenum was something to behold.

Hmm. You're right. Dropbox appears to be about as much use as a chocolate kettle for hosting photos. >:(
