Title: unreliable merc
Post by: Ken T on 01 June 2011, 21:09:51
The ads keep tellling us how well engineered Mercs are, well...

I was stopped behind a'10 CLC merc tonight, and you know the  brake light strip on the boot. Well, out of 15 lights, 9 were out, and 4 of those appeared to be partially light. That doesn't seem very reliable.

I can't remember having to change any bulbs on my Mig.

funny youve mentioned that, iv seen a few like that on E classes, and thought there less than 6months old and already brake light leds gone. unless its some sort of common electrical fault that takes out half the 3rd brake light!

I'd rather have a bulb blow than pistons meeting valves, oil pissing out of rocker covers, oilcoolers bursting ,wishbones failing ect ect, give me a blown bulb or 7 anytime :y
I would buy a merc, but I already have one and it is uber reliable ;)
