Title: New Car
Post by: davethediver on 02 June 2011, 21:22:13
Well two weeks ago I took delivery of a 56 plate Diesel Mondeo it came free from my old man (galactic miles but he had it from new) :)

The Mrs took it out last week to work 100 mile round trip and said its fantastic on juice maybe we should buy another diesel for me. She has a little Ford SportKA worse than the Mig on juice.

After a little discussion as it looked like the migs days were numbered as I'musing the Mondeo for work average of 1000 miles a week, she said why don't we Gas the Omega and i@ll have the mondeo as a daily runner :)

Result in my Book :y

I've been doing 126 miles round trip for two and a half years now (and in the industry I'm in there's not a whole lot of choice of employers, especially as the number of them keep dropping).  I've been forced into doing the whole 'Car-Share' thing to ease the commuting costs - means having to be sociable at 6.30am - not a strong point for me  ;D

Yep, son has a nice '51 plate with only 75K rotting in his garage, (no cash to run it) which had injector problems shortly before it was laid up. Fortunately a reprogramme sorted it, but can be very expensive if they require changing. :y
