Title: In car kit for Nokia 5110 value?
Post by: Varche on 08 June 2011, 12:32:41
Years ago , I had an in car kit installed in The Elite for the then popular Nokia 5110. Still got the phone but no contract. Cradle "pokes" into dashboard left of centre console and the mike is behind the mirror.

Do the kits and wiring have a value? Or does it just go to recycling with the rest of the car?

The only ones that really have any value are the Bluetooth ones (CK-7W and newer)... Doubt yours has much money in it by the time you've shipped it TBH

Both of our Omegas and now our Superb have both come with Nokia Cark91 fitted and all i do is buy a cheap 6310 and use it. Decent sound quality and like the "old skool" look.....!!

Value wise, chuff all mate........

You can actually get a bluetooth module for the Cark91. You simply remove the cradle and unplug it's lead from the box and plug in the bluetooth module.

It's a simple upgrade for those who do not wish to strip out the whole kit to replace it with another one.
