Title: Thieving little b******s
Post by: Cav9_4 on 10 July 2007, 04:31:42
Well 3 weeks ago daughter come home with her boyfriend and some "so called" mates, anyway day after we couldn't find our £300 digi camera, asked who had been here but,yes you guessed no one had took it!,so she rolls in at 12:30am this morning with her mate ,boyfriend and another lad who claimed to have fallen out with his mother which resulted in him being thrown out.Asked if they could stop,i reluctantly said yes, anyway 3:15am house alarm goes off on street, wakes wife and myself up,we both come downstairs to check around the house with alarm sounding as they on holiday, but everything looked ok then wife says "have you moved Ryan's PSP?" well i hadn't and we both knew where it was,by this time all kids are up too so they was all asked too if they knew where it had gone....none of them did,so house upside down and 1 hour later found the PSP in her boyfriends shoe under the insole, denied it ofcourse,so did his mate....not very happy...makes me wonder about camera now too....now i can't sleep!

So far, you've lost one digi cam. You need to get some house rules going before it gets worse.

Police advice given to someone I knew was hit them from the front, so it looks like they are attacking you. If it looks like self defence they will not prosecute.

You need to threaten him. if the digital camera does not reappear they will go for a ride to the Police station and you WILL press charges over the PSP as well.

Failing this - do him over!

You need to be rid of him. Firstly get the camera back, you may need to threaten with Police, or visit him with large mates.

Then give him a warning to stay away from your daughter, and tell him in no uncertain terms that if anything goes missing, or is damaged HE is paying!

He needs some time inside to have time to comtemplate his own moronicness.

Agree, basic rules. Your house, your rules, if the doesnt abide by and respect them he doesnt get in.

I'm sitting at work getting more and more wound up by this >:(

The general lack of respect shown by people today for others is deplorable. If it was me I would:

1. Ban this person/people from your house and property. This means that if there is any further act of theft or criminal damage they would be guilty of burglary which is a more serious offence and one that the police may be more likely to prosecute.

2. Send a letter to their home address, with proof of delivery, stating the reason for the ban and copy to local police.

3. Report the original offence together with the theft of the PSP to the police. At least this way, if there is any further problem, you have already registered the first offence. You will also need a crime number to claim the camera on your insurance.

Hope that you get things sorted but I know the feeling of letting people into your house who then abuse your trust. Disgusting!!!!!

It sounds like she made the right choice in leaving this boyfriend.

He sounds like a complete loser.

Putting myself in his position, If I was going out with a young lady, and thought anything of her, then there is no way on earth I'd speak to her father like that!! One, because I'd be worried about how much it would jeapordise the relationship and, two, I'd be worried about getting a slap around the ear hole!

In my (much) younger years, I was brought up in a less than ideal environment, but even then I would never have dreamed of behaving like that.

There is no excuse for these people, they need stopping, or even better killing - but it also sounds like your daughter has learned her lesson about the company she keeps.

It's the one reason my family all tolerate my hobby with cars - it may be oily and messy - but there's much worse I could be out there doing  ;D  ::)  :y

Why not?

1. They know they won't get hit back.

2. They know if they are caught they will only get told off or at worst have to pick up litter which they won't do.

3. They stand to make a few quid if the get away with it.

There are no consequences to their actions so they don't care. Until someone decides to take a stand and put these vermin down, as in exterminate, so that they cannot soil our society any more they will carry on regardless.
