Must be a warped cover :P. They all do - bloke down pub said so, and he knows a vx mechanic :P
Could of course be that gayboy flogged me a duff coilpack, or someone decked the calibration ;D
-
Right, plug looks ok, cam cover gaskets holding fine, not that I ever doubted myself ::)
I've swapped plugs 2&4 over with each other, see if faults move
Should I stick my original, oil soaked cp in, or put the clean one that was in there for past 3 weeks?
-
No stored trim codes, live data trims when checked (engine off) are well within limits, though did drive 5 miles or so back on petrol.
Getting stumped for ideas now

You'd probably feel more at home with the rusty doors on TBE. Yeah do that, it'll behave then... ;D ;)

Apart for a crack and some discolouration on the coil pack, can't find anything wrong.
Put it back together, taken it for a blast, seems fine :'(

If these are the coilpacks I sold Mr Gixer - they looked to be in very nice condition, but if it turns out that they were faulty, I will refund for them. :y

I've seen a hell of a lot worse. Not much wrong there IMO.
We could fit one off mine if it helps... As long as it's not contagious.

I'll use it for work tomorrow, see if any codes popped in.
Looked at the old one I pulled up of mine last month, that really is trashed - sees out of an oil bath, the rust has expanded and cracked all over ;D

Saw it in the bench, but that what I mean, how bad was that before it missed? Its cabaged. This ones new by comparison. Although stranger things have happened of course.

discolored coil pack was only symptom of mine when it had failed.....
