Title: anyone have a spare k series block!!

did ten miles in the 75. All appeared well till i heard an awful clatter, looked in mirror and saw a smoke screen behind me ;D 


checked oil - empty!!

Went to local garage, let car cool, filled up oil.

Will start, and run on all 4, but v v tappy under any load and puffing out grey, oily smelly smoke

oooooops

Is yours the stock 1.8 or the 1.8T,if the former then a stock freelander motor should fit it if you can find a good one :-X

As above, 1.8 in the 25`s is VVC. Best bet is a Freelander...

Hi Markie, good to see you here again :)

Didn't Rover, in later life, do some 1.8 non VVC 25/ZRs?
