Title: vectra c spanner light and not starting??

Again i hope this question is allowed in this catorgory,
ive now got a 2002 vectra c elite 1.8 petrol, when its been stood overnight it doesnt like starting ??
the dash lights all come on fine but turn the keyt to start and nothing doesnt even turn the engine the car and spanner light flashes at me on the dash and  eventually after turning on and off for up to ten mins it fires up and will start again with no effort for the rest of the day until stood for a long period again ie around 10 hrs ive had it plugged in and it showed no faults although this was after i got it running and drove to the garage ive had a brand new battery fitted as mine was tested and showed way below the recomended cranking amps but yet again this morning its done the same thing
is there anyone whos had a simular expeirience or can point me in the right direction :y

On older Vx.'s that is usually a sign that the car is looking for the immobilizer signal, I'm not sure on later canbus systems though.
Perhaps try a Vectra specific forum...
