Title: Under consideration - Saab 9-3 1.9 TDI Vector Est
Post by: pscocoa on 05 August 2011, 18:13:44
...with Hirsch engine upgrade - 51000 miles 2008 plate. Price being discussed but around £6 to £7k.

This is for family member.

same engine as Signum I think - several of the Saabs use same parts as Vectra I think but charge a lot more for them.

No pics just yet

Saab are part of the Scania group & have aeronautical connections although they nearly went bust recently.

Generally well built & many die hard fans of the marque, one of the blokes at work swears by them & will drive nothing else.

Dunno much myself really, ive only driven a 60's 96 2 sroke colunm change(a rally winner in it's day) & a 99 GL which i think had the Dolomite 1850 engine.

Now as you say some are running VX engines...did Saab ever make an engine of thier own? :-/

it was the scania mob that nearly took them down due to break fails on the trucks
