Title: MV6 springs and ride height
Post by: Gaffers on 13 August 2011, 12:56:38
I have just changed my front wishbones, springs and shocks (poly wishbone and rool bar bushes) and I used what I though were 2nd Hand mv6 springs.

I was under the impression that mv6 springs sat a little lower than stock so imagine my suprise when I notice that the front is a little higher than it was on elite springs.....

Now my shocks and springs were very tired and the wishbone were proper buggered and I have the lpg tank in the boot (which i beleive is either full or has a fair bit of lpg in it)

I have yet to take it for a spin which might settle things down a bit but I was wondering if this was normal?

P.S.  My arms are fooked now, I am not sure which is harder on the arms, swapping heads or changing entire front suspension on both sides  :-X

Im using bilstein b4s for the shocks.  If needs be I'll get some new springs for the back as well but I was hoping not to have to

Im sure B4's have a special valve system that means they self adjust to natural spring height :-/

Lowered sports chassis is face lift only. So if you have pre face lift mv6 springs, which are not lsc, and your old springs where buggered and sagging badly it may well sit higher.

Exactly what springs do you have?

PFL mv6 springs

Fairly sure they are exactly the same as any other spec of that age....
