Title: Advice for removal of window stickers?
Post by: Shelby on 17 August 2011, 13:07:56
Just thought I would ask before I spend an age trying to do this at the weekend.

I have a Nissan dealership sticker on the inside rear window of my Omega, it really lowers the tone  :P

Any useful hints and/or tips for removal of said offensive article?  It has started to come off on one corner but careful prying of that shows it will break up leaving bits and patches of sticky mess on the glass (ooo errr  ;)!!)

pull of as much as you can then use a safety blade on the rest any sticky gum left on will come of using car polish or even wd40 :y

Just be very careful if it's stuck over any heating element wires on the rear screen. If you damage the metal strip, that section of the heated screen won't work again.  :y

Hairdryer will soften it and it should peel off

Thanks.  This isn't something I have ever had to deal with before, but for an Omega its worth the effort  :)

Your wife's nail polish remover will get the gooey bits off, or acetone from work if you can  ::) ::)
