X20XEV 2.0 16v Veccy B on a 2000, X plate
EML is on.
There is one fault code - "Cam Sensor Incorrect Signal"
It won't rev over 3.5k revs.
I have
1) Buzzed the wires through from the relevent ECU Pins, back to the connector. All fine.
2) Replaced cam sensor for a known good one.
Absolutely no different! As soon as you clear the code, it comes straight back.
Any ideas?

Faulty ecu/bad pins/broken PCB?

Have a look at the ecu plug, check for corrosion around the pins and inside the plug.
Is the screen on the cable OK?
Is this one where the sensor connector has been cut off and a new one spliced in (was a mod at one time)? if so check it was done properly and that the screen is connected.

Done, and is fine :y

The three wires have been soldered and heatshrinked. There is a fourth wire, that doesn't seem to be insulated like the others? They are all soldered together.

Yep this is the type, this one has the mod. By the screen, you mean the fourth, un-insulated wire? :y
Many thanks :y

Double check the cambelt timing - vaguely remember Vectra 1.8 having an issue...
