Hi guys well whilst my hubby was stripping the car down to remove the dis pack today he noticed that there was water coming from the scuttle. He removed it all and the foam insert was wet through and basically falling to pieces. Can the foam insert be bought seperately or do you have to buy the whole lot?

Not sure if you can, suspect it comes with scuttle which will be £££.
Its worth putting a small amount of sealant around the base of the wiper arm, thats where water leaks through :y

Yes, seal it up and the heat of the engine will dry the foam out over time.

Often the leak is actually between the screen and the screen's seal. Usually obvious, as the seal feels dettached. It just pushes back on, although its a bit tight.

Grab the scuttle and wiggle it, if the screen seal moves away from the screen it's loose and scuttle needs removing to fit the seal correctly. As said, it just clips on.
All of the 3.2's we have converted to LPG have had a loose windscreen seal, allowing water to drip directly off the screen onto the back of the engine/coil pacs. Very common ime.

Okay thanks guys, waiting for the dis pack to arrive and then the hubby will check the seals when hes on with fitting the new pack.
