I need to change the tyres on the mig.
Found on the web here DUNLOP SP SPORT FastResponse on discount but the problem is that they are new and unused but DOT is 07.
So I'm not entirely sure what to do.
Since I'm a bit broke (got fired last month :-( ) price is the issue but don't want to risk.
Manufacturers claim that these tyres are still like new but I really have no experience with this so hoping someone here has.
If anyone can shed some light on my dillema and help me out I would be grateful

an old tire is useless and wont grip regardless of the brand.. even with deep threads..
try kumhos and hankooks imo..
ps: accepted tire life is 6 years which I discovered here to be maximum 5 years..your tire will have only 1 year left but any way wont grip ..I have now currently potenzas at their 4 th year with 5-6 mm thread and their grip seriously reduced..

older tyres have the tendencies to "dry out" and become rock hard. so regardless of tred and brand could be like driving on bars of soap. also the possibilty of them splitting. like getting wrinkles when your old haha
if cash tight i would recommend the like of federal or maxxis both tyres i have used in past with brilliant results for money.

Well I bought tyres but not these.
Bought Hankook S1 but in a bit smaller dimension 215 55 16.
I know the speedo will be slightly off but this dimension meant 30% lesser price

hankook s1 is ok.. I also use that size.. no probs, unless you try to launch the car from a standing still.. which requires wider tires ..

Actually I've read several tests about these tyres. Multiple german car magazines recomended them as one of the best.
After putting them on the car I am pretty amazed.
Omega rides much smother and quieter and the handling is amazing now.
Cannot coment on tyre wear obviously but from what I see I would definitely recommend these tyres to everyone, plus the price is great compared to other manufacturers
