Have to look first but always wanted a motorhome. I love the idea of just getting in & going.

If you're going to buy a motorhome, you've really got to do it properly, not buy a Transit with a couple of bench seats in it...

Mrs. Loo-knee & myself went to look at some caravans and saw some Hobby Motorhomes which we went in for a peep.... gorgeous. Can see why people buy them then drive off into the sunset :y

I'm ready when you are sweetcheeks!!!!! :-*

the practical side is a bit diffrent....
its something else to tax, insure, mot and park
it might sleep 4 but theres no real room and anymore than 2 people and it feels well over populated
trying to cook is not much fun trying to fit everybodys kit in is a nightmare as theres not much storage space and theres no toilet/shower
i know because i had one

As a cheap and cheerfull weekend away to a car meet type thing, why not. Theres worse than that out there.
Toilet/shower? Would rather use the ones in the shower block anyway. Keeps the stink out the van!
As to cooking, no worse than in a tent, TBH. If you are in there yourself then you can please yourself. Only real downside is that if you need to go to the shops or be off and about you need to pack it all away unlike a caravan.
If you can afford to buy/tax/insure/test/store it then go for it!
Would need someone else to drive your current classic to the meet though, unless you hitch a trailer combo to the back... ;)

Been mulling the idea over myself.... :) :-/ :-/ :-/

One advantage of a Motorhome over a caravan is weekend breaks. I have a caravan but if we go anywhere at weekends most sites want you off by 11am on the Sunday so you have to tow it home. With a motorhome you can park up somewhere and still have all of the Sunday to do what you want.
I love being away in our caravan for a week or more but I am seriously considering buying a VW Transporter T5 conversion to tow with so that I have the best of both worlds. I'll look like a true pikey then. ;D ;D
Have a look and if it's a goodun go for it. :y :y

Alan

Only real issue I see is that when your on site and pitched up.....getting out to shops etc is a bit of a challenge.
Do ask the seller if it comes with sooty and sweep to :y ;D

My Sister has a Peugeot / Talbot? version and loves it.
It has issues relating to quantity of use, but she loves to just arrive and 'be set up' at camps etc whatever the weather, she wouldnt be without one.

pop a 50cc scooter on the back on a mount, can nip around places once set up :y
