Does anyone know what price we should be paying for new cats on the above motor??

Simple....

DON'T buy new cats! They will cost more than the car!

Pick up a pair of known working second hand ones for around £50-£60. Be careful with the Oxygen sensors though they are not the most robust of things.

Hmmm I would rather buy a pair of good second hand ones.

Those are cheap for a reason.... and when fitted to the car that reason is immediately heard!

cheers laidback
Where could I possibly get 2nd hand units and is it £50-£60 each or for the pair?

When you say cheap for a reason for cheap new units, how does it affect the noise??

It will make a din while driving!!

I will have a couple of cats in a week or 2, when I break the Elite..

Cheap ones tend to be noisy, and not even that chavvy exhaust noise that some like, its a real annoying drone noise...

Are they a straight swap or will I have to fabricate some transition pieces?

let me know when your stripping the Elite. I'll replace the Dis-pack first and take it from there.
