Nice, but too much money for a copy imo. ;)

It's pretty & a 2 door but you can get a real one for 25k.
Still a nice Mk1 either way. 8-)

I have to say that, in my youth, a well-to-do friend of my brother acquired Jim Clark's back-up Lotus Cortina (yes, in those days, they did race F1 & saloons). He came round to our house and took me and my brother out "for a spin". The fact that I still remember that trip bears testament to the speed and exhilaration I felt. I had no fear, and I remember my brother remarking on the fact that we had wheel-spin on gear change when we were doing 90 down a lane. :o
Yep, we were all insane back then. ;)

I have to add that there were no things like carpets in the car, just a roll-bar and bucket seats. The noise was awesome!

To have ridden in a Jim Clark Lotus Cortina is to have a story to dine out on for several liftetimes Nick. 8-) 8-) 8-)
He was the greatest driver of his era and to this day is spoken of in revered tones by everyone who can remember him.
One of the top five naturally gifted drivers ever to sit in a racing car, and was Sennas all time driving hero. :y
If the car is still around, Im sure it would be worth a sum well into six figures. ;)
