A while ago I mentioned seeing a DS convertible, Mark DTM thought it was a very rare car, so I happened to see it again to day and here it is:

It is not very clear from the picture but it has a two-bar - though I would think twice before towing anything with a classic car like this, especially considering that the body can't be very rigid without the roof - I can't imagine that they were reinforcing convertibles in those days as they do today...

Looks like what someone in the 1950s would think a car in 2010 would look like!

When I was younger, my dad had a DS 'Safari' estate. Lovely motor...

Now that i like - Wonderful :)

That is a splendid vehicle, I am very jealous.
Like the Omega, I am told this was a vehicle that was very advanced in its time. Swivelling headlamps - moved in conjunction with the direction the steering wheel was moved in, Single bar steering wheel - one arm to link the entire circumference of the wheel from the central boss etc etc.
On the downside for this one, thats one cracking set of door gaps!! I was always under the impression that there were only two things on earth that could be seen from the surface of the moon. The Great Wall of China and the door gaps on a Range Rover. I see that there are now three... ;D
Would still buy one though, especially a convertable.

Do you constantly walk about with a camera?

AGREED, I don't like it

I think it would've looked better in StarSilver II. ;)

Aye!!

I think it would have looked better with the roof down... he seems to be local as I’ve seen the car a few times before, still waiting to catch it without the (hideous) rag top and snap it!

Imagine having that on Pimp My Ride, the American version of course, cos the British one is crap. ;D
