Looks nice Omega MV6  :)

The wheels look quite smart I take it they are not standard fitment as they are usually elite wheels.

That is correct. they are not standard.

Always loved those wheels though, so had to get some.

Still pondering what else I could do with her really.
Not going mad like, but just a slightly more aggressive look.
She has all the horse power I will ever need, but if anyone has any engine mod Idea's I'm all ears....  :D

Cheers.

That be an ex-plod car...colour coding the skirts and lower bumpers is a good start styling wise on those.

It looks really nice your car.
i alwasy thought that a set of 17 inch white speedline wheels like the ones used on the vectra st200 would look the part on the ex plod omega's.

Thanks for the compliments...  :)

She is an Auto.
She mainly dide motorway patrols, as I have the Police Service book, and records.

Anyone know what an "Arrowhead" is?
It's on the Police Records, and the repairs cost them £5754.92
That sounds far to expensive for a new engine.
She has electric seats, and air-con (which doesn't work, as the coolant keeps leaking.)

What are those other wheels like?

Cheers.

...is that a K&N sticker on top of the headlamp? In the hope that the spanner monkeys will realise what it is and not chuck it away for a new £10 Vx paper element?

Yes took me ages fo find a set. Got these from Ebay in fact, a few weeks back from a guy in Marlborough.
His 'meega died on him a month or so back, so he flogged the wheels seperatly.
Though the car is still at Devices Scrapyard, and it's a full Elite with leather and wood effect.... I was tempted to go and pilfer the leather interior from it....:D

Cheers.

Should've gone for the leather mate, although I had my doubts at first, its the first time I have had a car with leather although donated its still nice to have :)

Seen a set but the guy wants £350 on ebay, would be tempted too expensive for me at the moment.

Just curious but would you say the rear spoiler has helped with the handling at all.  :)
Title: Re: My MV6
Post by: Omega-MV6 on 03 October 2006, 09:27:56
A fair bit yes.

But only really on those fast sweeping corners.

The spoiler doesn't seem to have much effect below 50MPH really, with is OK on the country winding roads.

With the setting I have it on, it's sort of kicks in around 50MPH, I could increase the Angle of attack of the rear wing which would decrease that speed, but there is no point, as the car is pretty stable anyway.

Just using my driving experiances with it in place, it now does not seem to slide out on the road to Melksham at all, and I rarely have to drop below 60MPH....Which is great fun on those Quiet Sunday Evenings...  8-)

Cheers

Matt
