Its the wifes car and she only works about a mile and a half away so I bought a Rover 25 diesel for her which is a lot cheaper than the Audi which is a 2.8.

It is in excellent condition but the driving position is all wrong for long journeys. I drove to France in it a few years back and ive done the trip a few times with no bother but when I got there in the Audi I was cream crackered :y

I take it you won't be seen dead in the Rover 25 then? :-? ;D

Seriously though, I guess it makes economic sense but I think I'd have still kept the Audi :)

To be honest Bob I love the Rover. I have been on the MG Rover Forum and done some reading up. I have got it running on Rapeseed oil at the moment from Tesco's and have upped the boost a little. The next jobs are to remove the cat, fit an ITG airfilter and get it chipped to approx 140bhp. Its running at 100BHP at the moment and because theres no weight in it it goes really well. So for about £230 ive got an extra 40BHP :y
