I note he teases a certain mod over a certain failure he suffed in France.......maybe he would like to share with us all what happened in a super market car park at the weekend!

. i think a cartain mod that teases another certain mod over a failure in France need not own up as a certain ex mod kind of let the cat out the bag yesterday... :-/

Aha, I now have two versions of the story....I was informed that the spare that was being carried had the wrong shape plug.... 8-)

Yep, it was the crank sensor.......and given the grief hes handed out to others on it.....one feels he should repent at leisure...

Not an hour after I'd taken the proverbial out of Jaime do I have karmic retribution!  :-[

Well at least our (ex for now.... :-?) Mr McB was able to amble over with one.
Thanks mate (even if he is not around to read this  :()

Yes, I do have a spare crank sensor, but it is not for this engine and was not in the car anyway.
