Title: AngelGrinders MV6
Post by: AngelGrinder on 10 August 2007, 13:30:05
Hey guys, shes a work in progress, bought her cheap, paint work on body was not in such great condition, so gonna have a play, and hope it comes out alright (my first car I will be having a go at painting and possibly using stickers) Any opinions, good or bad are welcomed, I like to get an idea of peoples thoughs!

Anyway, heres what she looked like when I bought her -

And after I have coloured the bump strips (havn't had a chance to do the back yet) and fitted the new grill from Germany.

And my new fancy 'flat' style wiper blades.

Only other thing's i have done so far is change the internal speakers to higher quality ones.

Plans for future -
Stiffer and perhaps slightly lower springs
Possible roof spray black, or considering blue or black viper stripes
Exhaust system.
Alloys
Calipers painted.

Gotta say, those body coloured bump strips look great, are they painted or is it some sort of film???

Looking good

It would look even better with a pair of clear side repeaters :y

Painted.
Stage one -
1200 wet and dry
clean up with some thinners
Mask off the area, and cover car with paper for overspray.
2 coats of plastic primer
2 coats of white primer
2 coats of glacier white from halfords.

Job done!
Took me about 6 hours to do all of them except the back.

Amazing what a little paint can do. The change is dramatic. Have you considered painting the mirrors? ]

I didn't want to do these yet, as i am thinking of doing the cars top half black, like someone has posted a page or 2 back. If I don't go with that idea, I will definately paint them white.

Am trying to decide on the alloys, looking at some of the MV6 alloys (the twin spoke ones) and will keep an eye out. Problem with the omega is the wheels are so big on them, aftermarket alloys will cost a bomb!

:yNever thought to paint my bump strips, they're a bitch to keep blacking up. Got paint left over from spoiler so might look at that idea. Not sure about cleaning off with thinners, but looking good.
Luvvin the front end but i'll wait till my MV6 upgrade for that. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]
