Title: Pics from holiday in Cornwall
Post by: V6_MAT on 16 August 2007, 23:49:02
Hi,

Took the Omega down to Cornwall and back a couple of weeks ago (I live in Suffolk) and I have to say the car was a pleasure to travel in - we did 900 miles in all, including 350 miles each way plus a lot of local driving whist down there.

Thank god for the cuise control and air conditioning - without those it would have been a lot harder work.  It was fun on the hillier parts of the dual carriageway as the omega (2.5 petrol) could keep its speed (cruising around 70) on the uphills no problem and went sailing back past all the people that had just overtaken and then slowed on the incline :-)  At points it was comical but kinda fun seeing if we stayed ahead without coming off cruise - although it was dropping back to 2nd gear at times to keep the speed up....

Took a couple of pics whilst in Padstow bay;

and in the hills near the Eden project

Had a really fun time and the car performed faultlessly - not bad for an old girl!
