Not had my Omega long, always wanted a wooden dash that i had seen in others, but seems that you can only get it with the aircon models, I searched everywhere, but to no avail.
So i got one anyway, thought i would get it to work, and i did.
Was a bit of a job as the original dials were moulded into the old black plastic unit, so had to chop it to get em out.
But it has worked, it is in, not much gets past me.
Looks OK, don't it??
Mark.. ;D

what happened to glovebox don't tell me it was that stupid plastic mech inside that seems to go on all omegas mine is close all the time don't use it now, prised mine open at both plastic locking arms took stufff out and just closed it nver to be opened until i can find replacement ,love the trim they very cool :y :y :y

I bought the car without the glove box lid.. Its got the inside but no door, thought that should be easy enough to get, Yeah right, i have bought 3 so far, bearing in mind each time i stated i needed a light grey one.
So first attempt: got a black one, nice but quite right, so got a refund
2nd one came it was dark drey, and a different shape, dont know what car it came off, but it was not gonna fit.
3rd one came and yep, it was black again, so i shoved it on, but looked nasty, sent it back, got a refund.
Now am waiting for another to pop up somewhere, i await in anticipation.

Thats Cool have been toying with the idea of doing this myself but i'm not brave enough to butcher my centre console.
Do the Black surrounds sit flush with plastic or is there any gaps.
Have you got a how2 guide at all. as I may be tempted to give it ago. :y

Looks like a good job :y
Personally I'd rather have the black than fake wood though.

Fake carbon fibre or fake wood mmmmmmmmmm ;)

I Like the wood look.....
It was black, but the door panels have wood, so i thought i would get it to match.
When it came i thought ok, this should not be too bad.
But then i removed the old one and the dials were glued in, i thought god, but i had a go, they came out quite easily, so all was well in the end.

I'm not a huge fan of fake carbon fibre either, but it's a lot more subtle than plastic wood, subtle enough that very few people other than the car savvy actually notice it.

u can get the mech for the glovebox from vx main stealer for 12 quid or it was when i brought one when i first had the meega

Hi mate
I like what youve done to the dash so much so ive done it too :y
Ive got the carbon fibre one.............anyway ive took out the switches out of the old black one,
so what i want to know is how did you fix them into the new dash?what did you use?did you have to trim the switches?
Cheers

That is exactly what I have been looking for on ebay. I have the wood on the doors and the bit beneath the handbrake but want the bit for the dash. All the ones I have seen are for the Climate Control model. I have the standard Air Conditioning model. If anyone has one knocking about, please let me know. Thanks. ;)

This was for the climate model, but i adapted it to fit mine, worked out ok, the worst bit was getting the dials out of the old black platic unit, but is very do-able in an afternoon.
Thanks. :y
