Well there we have my beast. Possibly not to some of your tastes, as it's dirty, loud and just plain naughtiness. But I like it. It puts up with my abuse too. :D

Why, merci.

They're called Steinmetz. Rare and old. they're 17's by about 7.5, have an agressive offset and wear 235/45 tires.

Cool!!  I have just been looking at the Steinmetz site.  I notice you have done some ultra cool subtle body mods.  Were they Steimetz too??

  8-) 8-)

Body wise, it's just lowered, and has a 'de-baged' grill. A Nurburgring sticker (as i've been there) and lots of road grime.

A ate of mine took that pic. I like the way the sky is, in a rainy Germany. I think he has some special camera - worth more than my car?!

No guess the car is more fun...:D

Well a quick rundown on the history/spec is:

3.0 MV6 With Thames Valley Plod Mods. (Anyone actually know what the law does to them? Just ECU remap?)

De-Catted exhaust with a Cobra twin 4" back box.
K+N Pannel Filter.
Air-Con disconnected.
Police spec close ratio 5spd 'box.
Police lightened flywheel.
Police LSD.
KW variant2 coilovers.
Cobra Monaco bucket seats, with the rest of the interior standard.
TRS 4point harnesses.

A few other bits here and there, but these are the main smile factor ingredients.

You say that your rims are only 17's, but with and agressive offset, they look a lot bigger than that, more like 18 or 19's. What's the "Ring" like in real life, I've only been around it a couple of hundred times on "GT4" not quite the same  :'(, I will have a go next year for real  :)

The wheels are definatly 17's. I took one off today...F#@king puncture!
I actually think they are 8" or 8.5" wide, with, I believe, a et21 offset. I do agree, they look much bigger.

The 'Ring, in real life is scary. In the dry, it's not too bad, but can get quite busy. In the wet, however, is a different story! That video was literally as fast as we could go. It's soo damn slippery - and I found none of the corners actuall resemble the game!

Unfortunatly, unlike in the game, you cant just press reset. If it does go all Pete Tong, thats it - You're brown bread, or worse off, have a hefty fine and have no car!

They're dead. Well 2 of them are, and they're now obsolete. Where to go to find some replacements?
If all else fails, where to go to find some rims that look half as good?

I've been to Nurburg a couple of times but I had FWD. My mate took his prefacelift MV6 the first year and it got shall we say....SCARY. Especially popping the out the other side of the Karousel sideways and slightly airborn ;D

......and that was 5 up!!!! 3 English and 2 Germans, We didn't speak much German and they didn't speak much English but the unanimous yell was F@~K!!!!!!!!

Makes me want to take mine but got a wedding to save up for now. Did you stay campsite or hotel mate? We stopped at the hotel down by Adenau bridge. Top pics!!! :y
