Just wondering what I'll save, running on gas.
Apparently, according to parkers, the Veccy will do 27mpg (I expect I can get more, with my grandad driving style). Presume that will drop a bit on gas, (but not much with SGi) maybe 25mpg on gas? So equivilent running costs to 50mpg on petrol?
I'll do a test when it's running, but thoughts welcome...

I also wondered this a little while ago, considered on a lpg conversion, But worked out that I would reclaim my money back in about a year. I know someone that has had it done to his omega and he told me that he uses the same amout of LPG to petrol give or take a couple of gallons.
Cheers Paul

You will get about 30mpg outa it.....i push my omega and that av's about 23mpg on lpg...in my experience (and thats driving the veccy the same if not harder) the 1.8 veccies can do about 50% more than my omega runnin on lpg :y

Yep I would say its about 2mpg or more less than petrol if you driving normaly but if you Boot It at higher than 70 it drinks the stuff alot faster but at 40 odd pence a litre against petrol at around the £1.00 mark its lest than half price.
I have sat Working Out how much it drank and this and that but at the end of the day the MPG does not really matter as LPG is sooo cheap againt petrol.
Look at it this way if your car drinks 2 litres of petrol over a set distance it will drink around the same in LPG but
GAS = around 40-45 pence
Petrol = Around 96-1.00 or higher
