No, I believe it was the Omega A (UK Mk2 Carlton).
A friend of mine bought a 2.2i CD manual in glorious brown., What a car. Fast, great on juice, the only thin was it was so rusty, the previous owner had welded a piece of scaffy bar from the suspension turret to the bulkhead on either side.
A classic vauxhall in all its glory.
Dont see many anymore, shame.

i sold my B regd Granada for one one thos, it was a 2.0 gl, was a nice tidy car but the ride was no where as good as the granada, which i still love now, wish they would make a new version of it :'(

I had one of those some years back, a 2.0 litre CD in red.
Very good car, comfy, good on juice, but i hated the colour :(
I sold it to my x grillfiend's sister & she ran it for ages.
Get this & i qoute " i thought you said it was good on fuel?"
"it is!!!!!"
She didn't realize it had five gears ;D ;D ;D ;D

My mom had an identical Carlton to that (also a 1984) which she ran for about 7 years and then bought a 1991 Carlton and then a 2003 Omega which is what got me to buy one. All of the Vauxhalls have been very reliable.

My parents always had Vauxhalls, and I remember they had one of these, the Vauxhall Viceroy. Quality. The suspension was incredible, bounced around everywhere. Real comfort I remember. But check THAT interior! This is the same colour as the one we had and the same velor / vinyl interior as the one we had. Rank.

my very first vauxhall was a 2.0cdx carlton (company car) , in metallic burgundy red (much like the picture above, but with nicer rims, and higher spec) .
i've been a solid Vx man ever since.,,, I loved that motor... it was only because I couldn't find a 2.2 version in the colour and trim (CDX ) I wanted when i had to buy my own car, that I bought my First Senator instead...
had a few others as second cars since then, but always had a big Vx ever since... 24 years... since that first CDX.

I learned to drive in an old D reg 2.0 Ltr carlton, beauty of a car, shame about the monstrous back pressure.
