For a 2.0 FWD it is an awesome drive......and between 5000 and 7000 rpm it really does sing ;D ;D ;D

It looks good and sporty, but how do you rate it compared to your Omega in terms of overall performance, mpg, comfort, etc.?
I once had to drive the sports model of a clit once; after a reasonably long journey my back was killing me :'(. Had the same thing with a Merc 220D I had, but not because of sports seats, just the ride of the car! Never had that trouble with Caveliar's, Carlton's, Senator's and Omega's and thats with driving extensively very high business mileage.

Performance wise the Alfa wins on acceleration and MPG, the Omega on Top speed
As for comfort, it's not that bad, OK it's not a comfortable as the Omega, but the Alfa will outhandle it due to the shorter wheelbase, lighter body and passive rear wheel steering.
I couldn't do 30,000 miles a year in it, but for the time being it is a real blast to drive up to london, takes me 2.5 hours on a monday morning to get into work from Plymouth, and that's 225 miles ;D
Dazzler, it's the 2.0 16v model, they call it the twin spark engine, normally asperated, it kicks out 150bhp, about the same as the Vaux red top 2.0
On;ly downside is the absolutly crap turning circle, it has a quick rack that has 2 turns lock to lock, trying to do a 3 point turn in the street is like trying to turn an ocean going liner round on a pond.....impossible and embarrising

Thanks for that! Obviously, overall, it is best to keep the Omega! :y

ive just left alfa ownership, 8 cars in 7 years but no gtv yet,
great drivers cars but alfa talk a lot of bull when it comes to bragging performance figures,
the quick-rack and poor turning circle are related due to the lock to lock being shorter, 2 turns,
they also do a 155 (ive had 4) with wide-track, this is only achieved using wider offset wheels,
awesome cars though and mine are sadly missed...

Nice! That's a great engine, really revvy! Nice nick as well! :y

Pure Italian styling very nice! My uncle has a alfa GTA 3.2 v6 awsome car but just servicing costs are too much for my likeing! They do sound amazing though!

Must agree with big-boob_owner 'n' slave Alex, Italian styling, very very sexy :y
