i match them to number plates.... yes you can fit ones with fancy italic letters or something, or in a smaller font, and your right come MOT time it will fail.

You can put them on afterwards and you are fine for a year until the next mot.......

.... until the Police spot you  ;)

I saw some nice black ones like this on eBay for the facelift, i checked them out, the reflective parts of the lens are no longer reflective...

At the end of the day its the reflective parts of the lens which help the light output... so you will in affect reduce your lights to torches.

1) lights is not one area i wanna fek around with! - More light the better, cutting it down is not a good idea (in my opinion)

2) I think those black lights would look best on a dark coloured car, or even black, they stand out too much on silver and will get noticed by plod. Is it really worth the risk?  :-/

MOT is for 12 months, not just for 1 day  ;)

humm... got a point there, but still main beam must be affected?

Personal thing for me, like brakes, lights are one area not to mess around with!

Just looked at mine with full beam on, The light only seems to get reflected from the bits they have left unpainted. I guess it's just cheaper for Vaux to mould the whole thing in shiny silver and not bother painting the bits in between the useful areas?

are they E marked, if not then they are illegal and that had been the issue with some of the one on flea bay.

the old bill are getting hot on lexus style lights now, no e marking can result in you being told to remove them
