Looks great, I prefer that to a facelift cos I hate the huge grille on those, and I think the interior on the pre-facelifts is much better too. The thing I don't like on the pre-facelifts is the horrible rough black stripe on the top of the bumpers and on the doors, with yours being colour-coded it looks much better.

BTW Did you remove a standard exhaust back box to fit the Irmscher one? If yes and you still have it, would you be interested in selling it (assuming it's in decent nick)? I'm looking for cheap genuine VX exhaust parts to replace the noisy cheapo aftermarket junk fitted to mine.

Hello, Unfortunetly not, I changed the exhaust last year and the old one was on it's way out anyway, I have a vauxhall trade card which gives you big discount at vauxhalls dealers.

Cool mate, no worries. What's the going rate for a 3.0 saloon backbox (twin pipes) on TC these days? I might just give in and buy that one brand new, and fit it with the crappy centre sections to see whether it makes a noticeable difference - especially since that's the only part you can see and it looks better than the crap currently fitted!

I don't mate, Mark kindly let me borrow his a while back when I needed to replace the brakes (don't think anyone up this way had it at that time) so cheers for the offer. I think I'm going to prioritise on getting the cam covers and HBV replaced (hopefully curing a slight coolant leak), then new plugs & leads. After that lot's done I may finally get round to sorting this zorst, I'll be in touch for the TC details  :y

another question, how dark can they be without breaking laws?

The windows in back can be as dark as you like but the driver and passenger front doors should not be tinted at all.  I know thousands of people tint these but you'll find that the factory windows are about as dark as you can legally get.
Some police forces have equipment on board that measure amount of light allowed through the windows (called Tintman) and will place prohibitions on your car if they are too bad.

I know, kill joys.........

I know that those behind B pillar are out of drivers view and thus not applicable, but.......

No offence taken;

There are varies of tints and most people who install these have never considered the hazzards associated.

What bothers me is that there is no effort on education and worse still, when someone gets pulled, they usually say, "I didn't realise, the bloke who fitted it said it was legal..."

My point is that these installers should be chased and made to reimberse the poor suckers who shell out after only considering the asthetic look.

Tinted windows are dangerous, not only from the point you raise, but also other road users who seek eye contact from drivers at roundabouts and junctions.  More sinister are the people who try to hide inside them.

How much would it cost the government for a campaign allerting people to the dangers; that would stop the unscripulous companys virtually overnight?

The same company charge £100.00 for the 3 windows, and I'd just like to say that the tint I have fitted is the lowest tint possiable and it's very easy to see in the car as well as out  and does effect the visability when driving one bit. :)

Sorry I just read through my last post on this thread, what I should have said is " The tint I have fitted is the lowest tint possiable and it's very easy to see in the car as well as out  and does effect the visability when driving one bit"

What I meant to say is it doesn't effect my visability when driving one bit

Follow the link below to see pic's of my black MV6, it also has a full irmscher bodykit but it's a long way from being as good as my silver elite. 8-)

The respray cost me just over a grand, but that was a mate who did it :y

If there was a bodyshop that could do as good a job as your's has been done then I would get mine done and possibly change the colour too. Unfortunately there isn't but I can get the door done for about £60 and that's for each panel that I need doing.

BTW nice car and finish.  :y

I found a little bit of surface rust at the weekend on the passenger side rear wheel arch >:(

Not happy, I didn't expect to see any rust on the car after spending all that time and money on the respray

well, when i was looking at the pictures (the rust on the back wheel arche has been ground down, filled & sanded), i already knew, that the rust will come back... You will see more and more rust again!

It's done in a wrong way!  You should have new arche - something like that: http://bazarek.pl/produkt/18700/232965/opel-omega-sdn-84-99-reperaturka-blotnika-tylnego.html
(sorry, that it's in polish, but i don't know the exact english name for it :) )

Rust likes miggys, every omega owner knows that. If you don't get rid of it in the right way, it will come back :(

I'm still happy with the respray, but I didn't expect to see rust on the wheel arch after only 20 months of getting it sorted
