Good one's. I am sure the color code on your current omega is 96L or Z140 - I have the same colored one.
PS: Can you please let me know if you ever happen to see any similar color one being broken.
Thx

Thanx for the positive comments guys.
On the Monza, that is what I really wanted. 3.0 Auto. However the Royale came up and I bought it at the time. I seem to remember there were something like 2,150 Royale Coupes built, so quite rare even new.. Built on the same production line as the Monza, so minimal differences down to Grille badges etc. Insurance group 1 less as well.
The Solex 4A1 carburettor was a pig to set up though.

What is the difference between Royale and Monza.
Seen a few monzas long ago but never seen a Royale

Ah Ha , another Opel man
Like you I had a few over the years ,
Built from a wreck over three years.

The green one was a stock 1.2 one owner and the blue one I restored and then fitted a 2.0 ,fuel injection ,5 speed box and a 3/44 chevette HS axle.

Opel's were sold in the UK back then so the Monza was available but the Royale was the same car built in the same place but badged as a Vauxhall The early Monza's had Carbs, but mainly Injections, the Royale was always Carb 2.8 engine,Monza was only ever available in the UK as a 3 litre, however later Royale's were available as a Royale 3000i
When the Monza changed shape(facelift) with the polycarbonate bumpers, new cockpit the Royale was dis-continued...the Monza then went on the next year to be the de-chromed GSE
You wouldn't have seen a Royale in Croatia as they weren't sold there,mate...only chance of one there would have been if someone had exported themselves :y
