Title: '98 Omega 2.5TD CD
Post by: Essex Pete on 12 May 2009, 22:34:19
Well i thought i would put up a thread in here to show you guys my current run about.

Well actually i thought i would start with my previous omega, a 2.0 GLS auto.  It was a beautiful car really good bodywork, and drove like a dream until i worked my magic on it  :-[

In between the omegas i had a cavalier Gsi, but i scrapped that not so long ago and replaced it with this beast

As you can see its a pretty standard 2.5TD.  Pretty shabby bodywork, but a nice tidy interior, so its not to bad a place to be.

Its got a few niggly issues with it, like a complete lack of handbrake, and a random EML when cold, but even so, in the 5 weeks ive had it ive racked up well over 2000 miles without too many problems, aside from a split leak off pipe.

I dont really have too many plans for it, as its only a run about, im hoping to upgrade to an MV6 later in the year.

Although im a bit tempted to get a chip from Mr TB, as ive heard so many good things

If you plan on keeping it for a few months, then chipping would be a good idea because the chip will pay for itself within a few months.

Plus its a manual - so it would be rude not to  ;D

I hit the back of a new shape focus at about 40.  That went into a brand new BMW 325.  Totalled the focus and mine, plus about 7 grands worth to the BMW.
