Now get ready for a lot of pictures, I really did give it a good clean earlier not that it was dirty but it had 6 years worth of dust and crap on it.
Here's the result it's actually blue but looks black :y

Came up very well LSG 8-) 8-)
I always liked the big Fords. I was driving a Volvo 240 on an occasion, went in to fuel it up and drove out in a very nice MK2 Granada 2.8 in that lovely metallic red with the black vinyl roof, purchased instead of the fuel :D :D
Needless to say, when I got the car home, I was beaten mercilessly ;D ;D

Always wanted a 2.8i but I got a 3.0 Capri instead which blew up :-/

Any intentions of seeking out the later headlamps with the smoked edges on them to reduce the 'bug-eye' appearence?
Good clean example - a testomony to the owner(s), old fords can last!
-
Never say that to an Ford, but it looks realy nice !! 8-)

Sales were very low about 3:1 in favour of the Omega compared to 1:1 Granada to Senator/Carlton.
The styling had a lot to do with it

Thats a very nice scorp. I can't say I'm too keen on the pepper pot alloys but they do seem in damn good condition. You've always got Steve Saville off ebay, he's not too far away for parts. I was always buying bits off him near Romford.

Handy to know cheers mate, was some of the 12 spoke alloys for it to be honest :)

Just about 12 years ago this week I backed my 2.0 Ghia Granada off the drive and a load of water fell down from the sunroof on top of me - I went out and on impulse bought a 2.5td Scorpio that never did more than 30mpg - didn't realise that it didn't have a Ford engine until one of the head gaskets went and was a pig to repair. Much prefer my Omega :)

Never had one problem with this car, other than autobox which was there when it was p/x'd for my old fiesta van, he also gave me 500 quid to sort the box with.

Condition - lovely. Be proud of yourself.
Car - Sorry, I am genuinely very sorry....but give me an Omega any day!!

Funny about the 2.5TD scorp engine, a few months ago when my omega was buggared again i nearly bought a scorpio diesel estate for 300 since my omega cost about 450 to repair. Decided against it eventually, shame becuase it was a much nicer condition than my omega with half the miles and the same year. Just worried it would be a money pit like the omega and after spending silly money on it i didnt want to go through that again
