Title: Re: Omega B caravan from Belgium
Post by: astralogie on 25 January 2009, 18:27:11
I know  ;D

but I'm used to drive just on rims ;)

on the astra I had 185 35 17 tyres on the 7,5J Merc Segin  ;D

bought alsoo an Irmscher spoiler so if anyone is interested in this spoiler:

send me a pm ;)  brand new spoiler in plastic and fits 100% ;)

Post by: astralogie on 04 February 2009, 20:10:17
thanks  :D

Saturday, the KW coilovers will be installed  ;D

I bought alsoo another original frontbumper to let this one cleaned like the one that I had on my astra..so the lisenceplat will be removed like on this pictune:

this cost a lot of money but there aren't much nice bumpers for an omega and this way, it stays OEM and it keep the original lines of the omega  :y

I have also KW V.2 on the omega :) Just screw it at the lowest hight and it will be great. and remove the thing under the spring. :D

Nice clean looking miggy..
If it ends up looking half as nice as the astra, it will be a very special miggy
 :y :y :y

Love the Mig and the wheels but those tyres look almost non-existent and must be like driving on wagon wheels :o. Those kerbing strips on the tyres are also redundant so you'll have to be very careful with kerbs :(.
Title: Re: Omega B caravan from Belgium
Post by: astralogie on 06 February 2009, 20:13:08
as you can see on this pic, I'm used to drive with very stretched tyres ;)
got the mercedes wheels for 3 years without any kerb damage ;)

Title: Re: Omega B caravan from Belgium
Post by: astralogie on 10 February 2009, 22:36:59
hi,KW suspension is placed but is still high cause I have to go to the technical controle within 2 weeks to let check the coilovers...
after that, the coilovers will be screwed donw as far as possible ;)

This is shaping up lovely!

Would you be good enough to detail how you get the ride height looking so good. How does it affect ride and handling?
Title: Re: Omega B caravan from Belgium
Post by: astralogie on 04 March 2009, 12:15:58
thanks;)

I got a KW coilover set and with the 20 inch wheels, it looks this way ;)
When I got the new 245 30 20 tyres for the rear, the front will be screwed down a bit more...
with 18 or 19 inch wheels, I can go much lower but then the wheels will be to little to look good ;)
20inch is perfect for an omega  :D got 7cm between the ground and the bottem of the car so I can drive very good without damaging the car like I did with my astra  ;D

It's still very comfortable and drives very good ;)

the only negative point is the price of the tyres  :'(

Tyres of course expensive! But I've just checked out prices on KW Coilover kits and they ain't exactly cheap either! :(

Post by: astralogie on 06 March 2009, 20:09:57
KW V1 was 1200euro...
Title: Re: Omega B caravan from Belgium
Post by: astralogie on 26 March 2009, 15:36:35
lowered the car a bit more in front and with the new 245 30 20 tyres rear:

rear is the lowest as possible so I' going to look for shorter springs...

changed the 20inch wheels into my original 17inch wheels...I have painted them in the original Papyrus color from the astra H ;)

also fitted 18inch Porsche Turbo wheels but 18 inch is way to little for an omega  :o

and a nice pic from last summer ;)

Hey Glenn, geweldige reeks foto's.
Heb hier ook even aangemeld.
Als je nog eens naar een Opel of Omega meeting trekt in Engeland wil ik wel es mee (en ik denk ook wel enkele NL'ers ;))

Sorry guys, just a few words in Dutch for my fellow Omega-driver from Belgium  :P
And indeed, what are 'floorboards'?

VBOA is een algemene opel-bedford en vauxhall meeting dus niet speciaal voor omega's alleen ;)

idd, still waiting what 'floorboards' means  :D
