They look much much bluer on the pictures than the are, but what a fast improvement in light

Going to have a play with the aim, and get my mates camera and re take later

Ordered 5 more of these this week, one for my dad and 4 lads at work :)

Yeah, i've had those kits before, great value and great performance. Jon, do they offer you any discount on postage for the 5???
...now, I must get that 'how-to' done!

Knocked a tenner of the total cost, not bed really with the price so low to start with I guess :)

Jon,
Had a quick shufty at the kits, do they only do one bulb ie the dipped/main? What about the other main beam bulb? How easy are they to fit? Are they a real improvement over the ordinary projector headlamps?

Massive improvement, when you order the kit you state the bulb type needed and the colour range, I'll be getting a kit for my fogs and main beam with the next wage.
Dodle to fit the looms come pre wired to take the power supply from your old bulb so it plug and play, took me about 20 mins to fit, though the NS one was a PITA due to the battery been in the way.
I can not recomend these any more than I do, the diffrence is staggering.
Maybe we should try for a group buy from the guy...

I wouldn't be putting them in your main beam headlights mate, their design is not appropriate. 1. The slow startup time means you will lose the ability to flash main beam and switch on and off swiftly. 2. The 'throw' will not be a long as some others I have tried...currently running 80% Philips 'X-treme power' here, definately the way forward and more MOT friendly ;)

Wouldn't bother, they are so cheap now that it is not really worth the hassle. There is also dispute over their legality also and I know for one that they will not be 'endorsed' by the moderators of this forum.

Am reading with interest regards the lighting upgrades.
I tried the Xenon type bulbs in my GLS and found the whiter light to be a nice improvement.
I am now looking at buying an Elite which has the Xenon headlights.
Are both the Dip and Main beam on these the Xenon/HID type or just the Dip's and to save me asking later, what about the fog;s. If these are not as standard then is the fog kit easy to fit.
-
HID is only for dip, put some phillips X-treme +80's in for the main beam which seems to have improved the output, also a closer match to the HID's.
-
Cheers, am off to look them up on google and price them up.
-
I bought mine from this chap on eBay, they were delivered two days later.....

Osram Night Breaker bulbs are supposed to be good as well.
-
What fitting are the Main beams. H? (1,4 or 7)
-
Depends what year your car is.
Main beam on HID / Projector Headlamp cars is H7, original headlamps are H1
-
Many Thanks :y

h7 fella :y

Hi.
I have a 99 (Mini Facelift???) CD spec.
I have the ellipsiod headlights?
But bog standard halogen bulbs.
I quite fancy HID dipped beam.
Do you guys still recommend these and have a link?
Will mine be H1 or H7 for dipped?
I will check before I buy but you know, might as well ask the question.
-
H7 I think off the top of my head,
Here's another pic, shows the diffrence in the light colour/temp quite well

Looks wicked.
Make it more of "executive" cruiser with HID's.
Think ill get some with next months pay packet and some better bulbs for hi/full beam.
-
Seems to make a big difference
-
Oh it does, it compare it with my Mondeo, which has quite good lights...
The omega is like driving with full beam on :) (with out people flashing you)

Did you ever do the fog light HID that you mentioned?
-
Not yet, need to get the car back on the road first
-
Sorry matey, had'nt realised it was off the road.
-
No worries mate :)
It's just got a few niggly things that need to be done, the rockers are pissing oil out again and the EGR pipe has split so rather than run her in a state I've been abusing the Mondeo for the last 3 weeks :)
on the plus side I got this months insurance for the Omega.... £11 :)
God bless PAYG insurance
-
Nice one matey. Hope you get it all worked out soon, bet you are missing it.
-
Yeah... too right :(
Was out on a date tonight, first thing I did was apolgize for been in the Mondeo :)
