Title: Leather Cleaner / Feeder
Post by: Craig_R on 23 July 2007, 09:38:34
Whats the best Leather Feeder and Cleaner to use on Leather Seats

Autoglym ?
Turtlewax Essential Leather Cleaner & Conditioner ?
Turtlewax Glycerin Enriched Leather Cleaner & Conditioner ?
Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner ?

Or Are they all about the same ?

Thanks
Craig

I do not have enough experience between the different brands to be honest.

What I can say is this:

I usually use Autoglym for all my car cleaning operations.  However, for the leather I did not, due to the fact that the Autoglym cleaner and feeder are separate products.  Reading the application instructions, it looked very time consuming indeed and I did not want to go round the car twice or three times.

On this basis, I went for an "all in one" product.  I am sure that it was a Turtle Wax product and you could see the difference in the leather after application.  The bottle had a goldish coloured top and the liquid inside was cream in colour.

My seats and trim were not that dirty - certainly cleaner than I thought -  and after application they felt slightly softer.  If this was just my imagination I am not sure though!

I will be doing mine again soon as I read somewhere that you have to feed the trim every year.

Hope this helps

Hi craig, you might laugh, but  when i got my cow,i used some cleaning wipes from BETTERWARE,AND I WAS STUNNED at the amount of crap that they removed from the seats and they are cheep too.Try them first before spending loads on more expensive treatments. They also feed the leather as well.
