My brother had one of those but a 1.6. Was very nice, loads of kit, cool digital dash, but he had no end of trouble with the coil packs. Ended up having to get rid in the end.
One thing I will say, make sure you've read the manual with regards to releasing the electronic handbrake in the event of a breakdown, my future ex sister in law never thought about it, broke down right at the entrance to the magic roundabout in Hemel Hempstead, and completely stuffed up the town for about ten minutes. Luckily a car transporter went past with loads of Scenics on it and the driver saw the state she was in and knew how to release it.

Isn't that the model featured on watch dog ? problems with the dashboards that stop working and costs a bomb to replace.
-
not sure done a bit of checking up on them, and cant really find anything about that model year, i know there was a problem with a few of the 04 through to early 05 plate ones which was dashboard related and i know that laguna diesel had a tendancy to just rev to the limiter when the turbo let go and the only way to stop em was to stall them

I personally prefer Chrysler Grand Voyager if one day I plan to buy a family size car rather than paying money for the French or Japan made cars here. Sorry, that's my opinion...

Looks tidy. always liked the scenic. Must be the last of the pre facelifts being an 06 plate.

My Mum had one of these, bought brand new in 2004. She really liked it, that is until the electric front windows kept dropping down after the thing had been parked and locked. It went back to the garage 4 times for the same fault, and they never got it right, despite replacing every electrical gizmo you could possibly shake a stick at. She got shot, and now runs a Mazda.
Renaults of this age and later have significantly poor electronics - hope you get lucky, but this is known amongst the car fraternity generally....
