it's gift -)

In Moscow these tires cost $ 250 for one ($ 1000 per set)

Friends gave me these tires, then I bought rims at auction for $ 400 kit, before I had my 15" rims.

frequently, (so both cars ready with winter tires)  this year snowed 2 times but didnt stay long.. (now february sure will ) but on eastern and higher parts it stays whole season.. and some mountain villages loose their roads completely until spring.. :-/

nice photos mate! Tyres certainly look the business too, and I thought my nockian winter ones looked chunky ;D. Mind you, dont fancy those sort of temperatures. My brother has been to Russia a few times and is off to Mongolia soon where current temp is about -40 so he's experienced that sort of cold but I think he'd prefer the other job his company are doing in Saudi at the momment instead where temps are at the other end of the scale ;D

Post by: jerry on 01 February 2011, 13:25:13
so how do you find the mig handles in the Russian winter conditions Sev? We're all softies here in the UK since we dont get that much snow/ice and we're not really geared up for those sort of conditions so when we do get a fair amount everything grinds to a halt in places. Its not just that the roads arent gritted properly or that most people havent even heard of winter tyres, its just that lack of experience means that so many drivers just dont have a clue (you may have seen the photo on here that someone posted of a BMW with the snow chains on the front wheels ;D).Must say that the winter tyres on mine made a big difference and at least the heater works well unlike previous cars Ive had. Just havent had the nerve to drift her yet!

By the way Omega is very pleasing on drifting. Predictably breaks down into a skid, projected from it comes out. Very nice and easy to do this at Omega

I did not go on courses if you feel the car - Go on icy or snow-covered ground, feel how the car goes into a skid, and how to pull out of skid. On snow or ice is not as detrimental to rubber, and pad will allow you not to harm themselves and others if you can not control whether the process.
Do not press the accelerator pedal until it stops immediately and permanently, have a little bit, start with very small, and gradually add the pace. And about what you said leaflets? You're on the stickers on my car?
Title: Re: Russia. Moscow. Omega.
Post by: jerry on 04 February 2011, 22:02:59
no, the leaflets I mentioned are advertizing leaflets for the skidpan courses that have been stuck onto the posts of traffic signs and lamposts and these leaflets are sometimes called "flyers" as they are also used to hand out to people to get business. As for the stickers on your car, yep, the decals look pretty good too! Didnt see an "omega owners forum" one though Sev ;D
