Title: Consumption - Huge improvement!
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 24 July 2007, 08:06:31
Initially, I was only getting approx 25mpg out of the Veccy, but now I've corrected those couple of breather/vacc pipes etc, I'm averaging 32mpg. A 1.8 Veccy Estate will never give neck snapping performance, but I've seen an improvement in the way it picks up, definately more guts.

Result :y

In terms of cost, LPG is average 40.9p/litre where I am. Petrol is 96.9p / litre.

My 140 miles round trip daily commute in the Omega, at 25mpg, cost me £25.
In the LPG Veccy, on GAS at 30mpg, is costs £8.50

;D ;D

the breather pipes from the air filter out are notorious for spliting on these ( the ones as wide as your wrist)

Wifes old veccy had low 20`s mpg and was slugish - uncovered a huge split in the pipe at on the undersde...replaced and mpg up 10 to the gallon  ::)
