Title: The Beast
Post by: Mr Hagon on 26 December 2010, 23:24:02
As I have (finally) had the rust sorted that was on the tailgate beneath the wiper assembly I thought it was high time that The Beast showed up in the gallery.

And also it hasn't looked this clean for some time too  ;D.

I've owned the car since May 2009, it now has 97k on the clock and hasn't given me much trouble since then...but then as it's a keeper I do look after it.

I've followed all the advice on the forum so it has had the cambelt done, breathers cleaned etc...no expense spared  :y.

I like that a lot. I'm really liking these cars right now.  Matter of fact I'm after a 3.2 saloon. Can I ask how much you paid just to gauge the value of them? (PM me is you wish).

Thanks

I'll sort out some interior pics at some point, perhaps over the weekend.

The front is mercifully quite clean, no noticeable stone chips, although I know that there's a couple of dings on the bumper.  I've even replaced the missing bit of trim in the bumper  :).

The tailgate is perfect now the rust under the wiper assembly has been sorted; in the end I went for new badges too  :y.

Very clean motor mate! I've got exactly the same little bubble of rust under my rear wiper!! Did you replace all the badges on the back? How much were they?

Badges all came off when the rust was treated and the entire tailgate was sprayed to blend it in.

As the badges had seen better days I was happy to have them replaced:

Vauxhall badge: £11.40 ex. VAT
Omega 3.2 V6: £13.80 ex. VAT
Griffin: £22.95 ex. VAT

Of course, you may be able to find them cheaper...
