Title: Who's up for a deal on a Omega Elite
Post by: HNO3GOH on 19 May 2009, 21:57:09
As some of you may of seen i'm selling my face lift 3.0 elite thats only done 71001 miles and comes with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax plus it had its cam belt done only 4000 miles ago and is a deep plum colour. if you want to have a look at some pics then it's on the bay.

Now I'm after a pre facelift mini facelift Omega estate 3.0/2.5 V6 or 2.5 diesel must have leather and xenons and if petrol under 100,000 miles. I'm looking to do a swap with maybe cash one way or the other for the right car ;)

Let me know what you got :y :y

Just looked at your car on Ebay, and while I'm sure it's one of the better examples out there..I can't help thinking the price is a bit on the high side.

I'm getting right in to the Miggy's since buying our dog transporter, and I am looking for the "exemplary" one that I know is out there.

Best I've found so far is a manual 3.2 MV6 on an 04 plate...one owner from new, 80,000 on the clock, service history, all the usual crap,etc...it's in a dealer, and he will take £2,600 to drive away with a years MOT and 6 months tax.

If you want to reconsider your price so it is somewhat nearer actual "book" price, then I would give serious consideration.

That would be ex-plod then as its a manual, which makes it of less value ;)

Any idea where we can find this book?  ;D

In all honesty it is a very tidy car and is worth what someone will pay for it.

Also, arent 04 cars all early 03 in reality? Or have I got that round my neck?  :-/

Take it you mean those with a DIY gearbox change? Only 3.2's that left the factory and came to the UK with a manual box were those destined to go through SVO for certain customers such as the emergency services or diplomatic.

Not likely, unless it was an optional extra (rare)

Damn. Looks like its been sold.

If it was a manual box I would have pressed the Buy It Now button without hesitation but because it was auto, had to ask a couple of questions to get the sale to "twist my arm".

Also seen its brother at ... http://www.carandclassic.com/car/C81822/

I am currently a member at www.totalcarlton.com and I guess the natural progression will be to this forum one day when my Dippy sadly reaches her retirement.

But for now, i'll keep the old girl going best I can, but am now actively looking for a Purple Manual Omega with leather n all the toys.

See you again in 1 day-2 years :)
