£2,200
You know the history by now. If not
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1255038304.
The guy I have offered it to is a dealer.
I would rather sell to an oof enthusiast.
My other option is to park it round the back of my house where the fiesta used to be
(you will understand if you read the threads)
and let it rot rather than give it away. :y
This really is a serious possibility because I am fed up with people ringing up and offering me £900 to £1500. :) :)
-
That is a shame :( Could you not make a second chance offer for the £85 less!! :-?
-
I already have and am awaiting a response. He is a dealer but I would still rather sell to a private buyer who has an interest in the car :y
-
This forum is actually the worst place to sell an Omega. Your best bet is Autotrader
-
Probably because nearly everyone has already got one. :)

Nice Motor, shame you are so far away, I may have been tempted in that. But I would have had to sell my GLS , a 99 V plate with about 64 K on it, but that is sorned at the mo. Such is life. :-/

Yup, diesels and estates are always popular but V6 saloons are hard to sell on here

I beg to differ on that, I recently mentioned on here that I may be selling our MV6 (didnt in the end) and had plenty of interest shown, and one serious potential buyer, and all after just one post saying it may be for sale soon.......
People are always looking out for something better/newer/nicer........

You will always get lots of interest, but i maintain its very difficult to sell a car no there. Autotrader is by far the best bet.

For once young man, I agree with you ;)

I buy and sell cars, sold my 35,000 CDX on autorader, the 2.6 Elite I've got has been on autotrader for 2 days now, had plenty of calls and someone is coming down tomorrow to look at it. Avoid selling on ebay and go straight to autotrader, I pay £33 for 2 weeks on the internet and 1 week in the magazine so it's not expensive. You'll get so many more calls and interest if it's on autotrader. Put it up at £2750 and without a doubt it'll be goon quickly for near the asking price.
-
The only thing with the Autotrader is the amount of people who say they are on their way to have a look so you wait in and they don't turn up. I always ask for a mobile No.
-
Very true Elite Pete, I couldn't agree more. Had three people say...''oh yes I'll come and have a look'' on the 2.6 Elite and they never turn up. It can be rather annoying, but that's how it is I guess.

I have used Auto trader before and this has been my experience.
The eBay thing was an experiment.
Incidentally I have found out just a couple of minutes ago that he buys cars and breaks them, while this is justified in some circumstances, I think it would be shame to break mine, so i have withdrawn my second chance offer to him.
I want to sell but I'm not that desperate and would rather sell to someone who will at least enjoy the car for what it is :)

Feel sorry for you :'(
Its an excellent looking car with nice low miles, i was tempted but i recently invested quite a few quid in mine and its running so well i don't want to part with it.
Get loads of pics on an autotrader advert, including shots of the paper work, and you should get that sold quickly on AT.
