Title: MV6 3.0 1999 T
Post by: ENFIELD_MV6 on 06 December 2009, 11:42:18
Well i have enjoyed the car but it has to go, i am not using as much as i would like so it seems a shame to leave it just sitting around doing nothing, i have replaced the front wipers with flat blade type 2 weeks ago, new rear light as the old one had a small hole in it, the car has been valeted inside and out, has some surface rust on the doors and rear arch but nothing major at all. 185k on the clock, it has covered just 5000 miles in the last 4 years (have the old mot`s) open to sensible offers around £800. engine and box are silky smooth, has 2 working keys. any questions please ask if you wish to view send me a message and i will give you my number

Don't tempt them.

Anyway you've only had it on here under six hours.
And it is getting near Christmas, may be a bit slow now, people concerned about the £'s they spend.

Spend more than 20 seconds writing the advert and you might get some. No pictures, either external, or internal. No details on Tax, nothing on MOT, no details on cambelt.

Quite frankly i am not surprised there is no interest.

And then you can remove it again as the rules state 'No links to your own eGay sales'!

Hi Wayne,

IMHO I would start again with pictures (inside and out) and a good description detailing the history etc. Put yourself in the position of the buyer.

It does seem a tad expensive in my view - due mainly to the mileage. I paid about a third of that for an estate with half the miles.

Just my views - but good luck anyway.

Regards ,,,,,,,,,,,, Rob

Right lets try and do this a bit better lol.

cambelt changed with tensioners and so on 2 years ago. full black unmarked leather with heated front seats that get very warm, 185200 miles on the engine but very smooth does not smoke, auto box is smooth and changes up and down a treat no issues, original MV6 ALLOYS NOT curbed or buckled but could benefit from a refurb due to lacquer peeling, Tax and M.O.T till feburary, have 4 years of previous mot`s and the car has covered 4.5k miles in those 4 years, body work is really only surface rust and not massive amounts on the front doors and rear arches but is only surface, hid`s, inside 1 bulb on the climate display has gone, one on the dashboard on the speedo has gone and one in the rear passenger side above the door needs a bulb. Replaced o/s/r light, front wipers, had a full valet in and out about a month ago but will be done again. Only have pics when i first got it as my camera is knacked. If you have any queries or would like to know anything else then please pm me for my number. Open to sensible offers around the £800 mark. Heres the pics

as i'v mentioned before, belive it or not, this forum is the worst place to sell an Omega! Everyone already has one! So unless someone is looking to upgrade, your a bit stuck. Autotrader is your best bet

Can't you wait for a buyer till after Xmas? Or strip it? That leather and the wheels would be worth a few bob, and all the other bits too.

I've got to say,I do like the look of this car.Its such a shame that you've got to sell. Frustrating too. Are you sure that you can't hold on? Its a shame really  because all my funds are tucked up in alloy wheel stock at the moment, I'd almost be tempted to make you an offer. Its funny because although cars are not selling, car parts are literally flying out.I think I've sold 5 sets of wheels this week alone!

when I collected my car, on the way back home the battery died, but to be fair the seller did warm me it was flaky. But luckily it failed when i was parked outside halfords buying some oil as the low oil message had come up. Got the battery sorted, but after that then got low coolant, brake pad wear and screewash level. Almost a full house. good thing was that they were all simple to sort problems!

There should be more people like me out there. Once I decided I wanted an Omega I found and joined this forum, mentioned what I wanted and 'the boy' jokingly said he may be selling his Elite.

Made contact and within a few weeks it was mine, bloody brilliant it is too!

Best place to buy a car is the specialist forums, you wouldn't come here if you didn't have an interest in keeping your car as best as you can!!!!

WAYHAY, 200 POSTS!!!!!!!!
