Title: Noisy gearbox, since oil change
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 31 July 2007, 18:24:57
Since changing the Veccy gearbox oil, I've noticed a high pitched noise - more noticable in 1st and 2nd gears.

Don't think it's a big issue.. when refilling I just the transmission oil the VX stealer gave me, it was only £4 something a litre retail, seems cheap to me, hope it was the right stuff..  :-X

James.....are you trying to break your veccy!  >:(  ;D

That oil in the gearbox had only done about 60k.... ::)

Sounds like you maybe bunged the wrong stuff in......whats its say on the bottle?

Sounds like the stuff I put in my Astra's gearbox. Getriebeol / Transmission Oil / Huile Boite de Vitesses 93165290 and it's red and looks like ATF. No problems with mine though .... yet! ;D

Yes, it did look a bit like ATF  :-/

I have full faith in the veccy..... I'm planning on taking SWMBO to scotland in it next week, but shhh, it's money permitting, and if we can go, I want to surprise her  :-X
