Title: Cam locking kit
Post by: ians on 31 July 2007, 17:35:52
Which is the one to get?

Found this one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320118964724&rd=1&rd=1

and this one
http://www.pvrdirect.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?kw=VSE130+&tier1=Sealey+Tools&tier2=Sealey+Vehicle+Service&tier3=Setting+%26+Locking+Tools&tier7=1&catref=VSE130

not sure what the difference is to this one
http://www.pvrdirect.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?cmd=list&tier1=Sealey+Tools&tier2=Sealey+Vehicle+Service&tier3=Setting+%26+Locking+Tools&=&showCats=false&Page=2&tier4=&catRef=VS130
apart from a lot more dosh! (maybe it doesn't break?)

and I've also seen reference to 'SP'

What would you expect to pay new/sh?

My SP (Skykes Pickervant) cost me £50ish from ebay a couple of years back. Brand new.

I've got one if you want to borrow it, Ian. Mine is the Laser one. Doesn't fit terribly well but does the job and it was reasonably cheap. I'm sure a SP one will be much better but I'm not jammy enough to find one for 50 notes ;D

Yep. Looks the same as the one in the first of your links. I think James got a totally duff one of these so they're clearly not the best quality. I wonder if the sealey one is better?

I'm a bit suspicious of the Sealey ones - there are two of them - look the same from the pics, but one is twice the price of the other.  Is one made of plastic do you think..?
